What did Arjun Kapoor say about step-mom Sridevi?

For a long time it was believed that all was not well between Sridevi and her husband Boney Kapoor’s children from his first marriage – Arjun Kapoor and sister Anshula
But Arjun has put to rest all speculations and is giving out a clear sign that all’s well in the Kapoor household. The Ishaqzaade star, who is currently working on 2 States with Alia Bhatt was on a trip down South where he was asked about Sridevi. And Arjun took the opportunity to set the record straight. “She is a fantastic actor and I immensely respect her body of work. The less I say, the better it is. At the end of the day, she is my father’s wife. She is a very talented actress and Chennai is her home…It would be very unfair of me to let my personal baggage fall on her body of work, especially in a place like Chennai, where she is loved and respected.” Tactful words, Arjun!

This statement from the star is a pleasant surprise, coz Arjun was very pointedly missing from the grand birthday bash held for the talented actor recently in Mumbai and tends to avoid her in events and on the red carpet.

What’s more interesting is that the actor also discussed his dating preferences and we weren’t surprised when he said, “I’d love to date a South Indian girl!” That certainly brings an impish grin to our faces; after all, the very pretty Student of the Year actor Alia play a southern girl in his film. And with all that buzz about Arjun and Alia being the new lovers in B-town, we wanna know if our man is talking about dating onscreen or off it.
